I've been to Las Vegas several times since I turned 21 several years ago and each trip has been at least a little bit different. In the past, I went with family, visited with friends, and even (sort of) went to Vegas alone. Recently, I went on a small group trip to Las Vegas with friends and that allowed for a completely new and fun experience in Sin City! That trip was such a good time that I would rather allow the details be something for my own memories. However, I did learn some things from that weekend about how to make the most of a group trip to Las Vegas that I want to share with you.

Tips for Making the Most of a Group Trip to Las Vegas
I have five simple tips that will make your group to Las Vegas a fun and memorable experience. Feel free to use them all or some of them at your discretion. As long as you enjoy your group trip to Las Vegas, that's all that matters!

Make Dinner Reservations
We had reservations for Best Friend and my friends kindly treated me to dinner as a birthday gift! You don't necessarily need reservations for every restaurant, but I recommend checking to see if the restaurant you're thinking about going to takes reservations -- especially if you're going to be on The Strip. Restaurants like Best Friend are really popular and you want to be sure that you have a table that can seat your entire group when you're ready to eat. Our group of 6 was big enough that we had to wait a little bit for a table at restaurants where we didn't have a reservation.
Go to Fremont Street Early in the Day for Cheap Tables
Our group really likes to play blackjack and we have spent evenings back home playing the classic card game for hours. In fact, it was all those causal games at the dining table that inspired this group trip to Las Vegas! With 6 people in our group, we had enough to take up seats and fill our own blackjack table. The easiest way to make that happen was to go to Fremont Street and find a table just after eating brunch. Tables were only $10 and there weren't as many people in the casinos yet which gave us the highest chance of being able to secure our own table at a low cost. We were nearly successful at getting our own table, but one lady (who eventually realized we were a group) never left her seat and one of our friends wasn't able sit down to play with us by the time we decided to color up and cash out. Maybe next time we can accomplish our mission of playing together at a table in Vegas!

Face Your Fears & Do the Spontaneous Thing
We went to New York New York the first night we were all together once I settled in. The next day, we talked more about the roller coaster there and one of the people in our friend group got tickets for a few of us to ride the coaster on the last day. Some of us were excited about going on a roller coaster and others were highly concerned, but the experience was worth it! It was a thrilling adventure that allowed us to make a unique memory and the entire ride was maybe two minutes at most. However, that rush was just what I needed to get through the second half of the day before I needed to go to the airport!
Stay at the Same Hotel, Don't All Checkout at Once
We all stayed at Park MGM for this weekend group trip to Las Vegas which is where I typically stay when I visit. A couple of us highly recommended it and that location worked out great because was easy to get to other casinos along The Strip. We were all arriving at different times, so it was easy for the group to gather in the casino as the next person showed up. I was the last person to arrive after coming all the way from Puerto Rico where I had been vacationing earlier that week.
I was also the second person to leave. My plan was to catch a red eye flight bound for Houston at 1:00 AM on a Sunday, but that flight was canceled right as boarding was supposed to start. While I was able to get rebooked on an early morning flight with another airline and just stayed in the airport all night, my friends that weren't leaving until later in the day were on standby in case I needed to return to the hotel and crash on the couch in their room. Don't all checkout at once in case something goes wrong and you need a place to stay at the last minute!
Pass on the Winning Energy

In the final hours of all of the group being in Las Vegas, one of my friends that I was staying with was leaving in the early afternoon. We checked out of our room early and put or luggage in storage before going into the Park MGM casino to gamble while waiting for the rest of our group to wake up after a really late night on Fremont Street. My friend had early winning energy and I did too -- until I lost some money playing digital blackjack while waiting on a mimosa. After finding my friend at a nearby slot machine and seeking her wisdom on winning, I went back to my favorite Wheel of Fortune slot machine as she suggested and I finally got my biggest win all weekend!
As my friend left for the airport, the rest of our friends were just making their way downstairs. We spent a short time at Park MGM before our now group of 5 walked across the street to New York New York where I was able to pass on the winning energy to my other friends playing the penny slots that afternoon. There was a bit of a lull in the early evening. However, it was once I left that one of my friends got a nice win on a penny slot in Park MGM. There's something about the friend that has the winning energy truly passing it onto the next person as they are leaving the group to return home!
